Victoria Meyers architect develops Diagrams to guide the development of hMa projects. We show a few hMa Diagrams below, accompanied by project images: hMa's Won Buddhist Retreat and Infinity Chapel, related to each diagram.
The first drawing is for the Won Buddhist Retreat, a movement diagram, studying how visitors and residents will move through the 500 acre site.

The next diagram also for Won Buddhist Retreat, depicts how the buildings on the site are designed to blend into the landscape. Wood screens installed over facades camoflage the buildings as part of the site: trees and shrubs.

The diagram for Infinity Chapel shows how a new concrete floor was designed as a continuation of the exterior sidewalk, bringing people through a public space, the Infinity Chapel, to a private outdoor chapel at the rear of the site.

Victoria Meyers architect (hMa) designs buildings that fit into new urban environments and rural sites without disturbing local micro-climates. hMa designs sites that are green and ecologically sensitive, and we design buildings that act as organic extensions of the sites that they occupy. Our goal is to mitigate poor ecological conditions, including heat islands and pollution, by encouraging development within brownfield sites, and areas with difficult environmental profiles. It is hMa's goal to leave the sites that we build on cleaner and healthier than they were prior to our construction activities.
