Founding Partner - hMa

Victoria Meyers is a founding partner of hanrahanMeyers architects (hMa).  Ms. Meyers has been the principal designer on a number of award winning projects in the firm, including Infinity Chapel  (2010 Honor Award, Faith + Form Magazine), White Space (Honor Award, North American Wood Design Competition;  AIA NYChapter), Pratt Pavilion (2009 AIA NYChapter Design Award;  NY Designs selection, Architectural League of NYC), and Holley House. Ms. Meyers’ projects include public institutional buildings, urban master plans, and award-winning residential projects.

Currently Ms. Meyers’ firm has the Won Dharma Center (Absolute Zero) in construction, which includes a 550-acre campus master plan and five buildings (2010 Design Award from Faith + Form Magazine). In 2009 Ms. Meyers was one of ten women architects chosen from an international field of talent  and featured in Buildblog’s ‘Women Making an Impact’. In 2010 Ms. Meyers’ firm was recognized with six design awards, including the 2010 Heritage Award for the firm’s Master Plan design for Battery Park City’s North Neighborhood.  Ms. Meyers is currently overseeing the firm’s Digital Water Pavilion: DWiP, in construction across from Ground Zero, and headed for LEED Platinum certification.

In 2006, Ms. Meyers published ‘Designing with Light’ with Laurence King Publishers, London/Abbeville Press, cataloging hMa’s research into natural light. Ms. Meyers has taken a leading role in bringing sustainable and green practices to hMa, through post-professional research.  Ms. Meyers was a featured lecturer and spokesperson for the Sustainable Cities Design Symposia in Boston (2008) and Washington, D.C. (2009). Ms. Meyers currently has a book in development titled:  ‘Designing with Sound’. 

Ms. Meyers received her M. Arch from Harvard and an A.B. in Art History and Civil Engineering from Lafayette College.
